For today’s devotion, I want to express what it can mean to write a manifesto to the darkness, declaring your stand for Christ.
As you read this example, I encourage you to personalize it, make it your own, and use it as a template to craft your own declaration and bold stance for Jesus. Pray and ask the Lord about the areas of your life where you need to become more bold and courageous, and then make the effort to write down these thoughts and form them into a statement.
It doesn’t have to be long or drawn out. You can write it down in your phone notes or by hand. But there is something powerful about taking the time to craft a statement that captures the essence of your faith and then using it as a declaration over your life.
With this being said, here is an example.
My manifesto to the darkness declares:
I refuse to give up any ground.
My life is the kingdom realm of the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords.
I belong to Jesus Christ, and He rules my life. I am under His dominion. I am under a new government. I live according to the realm of the Kingdom of God.
No longer do I operate in deficiency or lack. No longer am I controlled by sickness or disease. No longer does sin control my mortal body. I am a joint heir with Christ. The kingdom of God is within me, and in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, the King of Kings, I release the Kingdom of God to flow and operate in my life!
Because of His Kingdom authority in my life, I declare—
I will win my battles, whatever the cost.
I will make a difference for the cause of Christ.
I will fight until there is only one man standing, and I will be that man.
I will carry God’s vision into every territory and fight until I see it come to pass.
I will go above and beyond the call of duty.
I will live with honor.
I will fight with courage.
I will rest with hope.
I will walk in victory.
This is my declaration. This is my manifesto.
I am free from the entanglements of the world.
There is no bondage that has any chance of holding onto me.
Fear flees. Sickness is healed. Demons run. Sin is destroyed. I walk in the truth of God’s royal Kingdom. His Kingdom realm extends to every part of my life and beyond.
Furthermore, I have been called as an ambassador for Christ, to speak, declare, and administer the rule of His Kingdom in every sphere of influence He places under me. By His name, I tread on serpents. By His name, I tread on scorpions. By His name, I have power over all the power of the enemy.
Freedom is mine. Provision is mine. Healing is mine. Forgiveness is mine. Grace is mine. Love is mine. Power is mine. Heaven is mine. Because He is mine and I am His. My master calms the seas. My master walks on water. My master feeds the thousands. My master controls the earth, the heavens, and the universe. My master transcends time and lives in eternity.
I am seated with Jesus upon His throne.
I have authority to use His name.
I will rest upon His promises.
He will never stop loving me, changing me, filling me, or saving me.
By this manifesto and decree, I choose to live, giving all that I am to Jesus Christ, pledging my heart, soul, mind, and strength to the majesty of His name. Living in worship, giving Him praise, offering up my thanks. All this I decree and declare from my heart, and along with the word of God, I say—“Now, to the one with enough power to prevent you from stumbling into sin and bring you faultless before His glorious presence to stand before Him with ecstatic delight, to the only God our Savior, through our Lord Jesus Christ, be endless glory and majesty, great power and authority—from before He created time, now, and throughout all the ages of eternity. Amen!” (Jude 1:24-25 TPT).

Let’s agree in prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for being my master, king, and savior! I rest the weight of my faith upon You and Your word. I know that You will come through for me in every circumstance, and I make a bold declaration to the enemy forces that “I will never bow to the darkness!” Lord, in humility, I give You everything that I have and all that I am. Use my life for Your glory and for Your purpose. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
Blessings on you today,
Larry Shankle
