THE LORD IS PREPARING THE GROUND FOR HARVEST // EP. 235 WITH LARRY SHANKLE

The Lord Is Preparing the Ground for Harvest

The Lord is preparing His people for harvest, but preparation requires cultivation. In this episode, I share a timely word about resisting distraction, developing deeper hunger for God, and allowing the Holy Spirit to break up the fallow ground of our hearts. This is a season to press into prayer, obedience, holiness, and the presence of God. The process may be uncomfortable, but God is preparing you to receive and produce what He has promised.

Show Notes

God is looking for men and women who truly want Him.

Not simply people who know about Him, speak about Him, or identify with Him—but people who hunger for His presence, seek Him with their whole heart, and refuse to allow distractions to pull them away from what He is doing.

I believe the Lord is preparing the ground for a coming harvest.

Before ground can produce, it must first be cultivated. Hard soil must be broken. Fallow ground must be turned over. Rocks, weeds, and obstacles must be removed. In the same way, God is working deeply in the hearts of His people.

The process may not always feel comfortable, but cultivation prepares us for fruitfulness.

In this episode, we look at Hebrews 6:7–12 and the Greek word γεωργέω (geōrgéō), meaning “to till” or “to work the land.” Spiritual cultivation requires intentionality. We cooperate with the Holy Spirit as He works through His Word, prayer, repentance, obedience, and consecration.

We also look at Daniel, who refused to allow pressure from the culture around him to interrupt his established life of prayer. When opposition increased, Daniel continued seeking God.

That same call is before us today:

RESIST the pull of distraction.
RESIST the pressure to compromise.
RESIST anything attempting to derail you from what God has spoken.

Stay close to the Lord. Let His Word penetrate deeply into your heart. Cultivate hunger. Cultivate thirst. Cultivate time in His presence.

God is raising up a hungry and thirsty remnant who will seek Him until heaven moves.

Holy moments are birthed in cultivated ground—moments of salvation, healing, deliverance, spontaneous worship, revival, and the overwhelming presence of God.

Hosea 10:12 declares:

“Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.”

Your heart is the ground, and the Lord is preparing it for harvest.
