You reign from heavenly places, not earthly circumstances
Seated with Christ
Ephesians 2:6 NKJV—[6] and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
So often we keep our eyes focused on the problems that surround our lives. We are tossed to and fro by the winds of change and the hardships we encounter. But this is not the mode of life for a believer. In fact, you and I are above the fray. The reality is that when you place your faith in Jesus, He lifts you up into heavenly places. You are seated with Him on His throne. There is no waiting for heaven to finally be an overcomer. Today is your day for victory.
You have to purpose in faith to live like this. It is not a natural response to problems to see them from a heavenly perspective. Doing this will take submission to Christ. This means that you give Him everything — every problem, every fear, every detail. You stop trying to hold on to the illusion that you can control outcomes and, by faith, trust Jesus for the answers.
Kings do not worry about how things will turn out. They give clear commands, and those commands are followed. I am not suggesting that everything in the material realm follows the voice of your command, but instead, you can confidently command your spirit to be quiet and rest in the peace that Jesus offers. You can choose to live as a king and reign over your own spirit.
Jesus has left us a peace that passes understanding. His peace destroys the enemy’s lie and conquers all our fears. Friend, you and I no longer have to live from a place of fear because we literally and actually reign above it. This transformation from a lower life to a higher life occurred when you came to Jesus Christ. He seated you above your problems.
Today, will you choose to walk in faith and declare the victory of Jesus over your life? If you do, it will change everything. You do not have to live defeated.
The remnant is awakening in this hour. We are realizing that it is possible to boldly stand and proclaim, not only to the world, but to our own spirits, that Jesus is Lord. Friend, your problems, sickness, and fears are not your lord — Jesus is. Start declaring, “Jesus is Lord over my life!” His presence will manifest and begin giving you peace.
Let’s agree in prayer:
Father, I declare that Jesus is Lord over my life. Everything belongs to Him. There is nothing that I hold back or try to control. As I commit my life to You, not just for my eternity but also for my present, will You come and wash over my soul with Your peace and presence? I seek You, Lord, and I give You praise for all the good things You are doing for me! In Jesus’ name. Amen!
